Wednesdays: 1pm–4pm

During school holidays, Wednesday hours extend to 11am–5pm. Special event times may apply.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

Discover railway history from across the State.

The Railway Museum has an extensive and highly significant collection of locomotives, carriages and displays. Its collection aims to tell the story of railways throughout Western Australia.

Most displays are protected under a large roof, making it easy to explore the collection throughout the year.

Also open during regular Museum hours:
The WA Model Railway Club welcomes Museum visitors on Sundays and school holiday Wednesdays.

Groups and schools

School and community groups are welcome. The Museum connects well with studies of Society and Environment, and Technology and Enterprise.

Parties

Party bookings during normal opening hours include dedicated use of a buffet or dining carriage.

Functions and filming

Contact the Museum about functions or using the collection and site for filming and photography.

ANNUAL PLATFORM PASS

Visit throughout the year for $64 per family.

The Annual Platform Pass covers a family for one year.
